Description

The Graduate within the Asset Management (AM) team will assist the Head of Asset Management and the Junior Asset Manager in the operational running and management of the Asset Management Business Unit. The role involves supporting the Junior Asset Manager in managing the Project Companies that Pele Green Energy (PGE) is invested in, ensuring effective execution of required activities and contributing to the smooth functioning of the unit. This position provides exposure to reporting, compliance, procurement, revenue management, and audits, while offering opportunities to develop analytical, organizational, and leadership skills in a dynamic energy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review monthly reporting received from external partners for operational assets
  • Review monthly reporting received from service providers for operational assets
  • Review board packs as and when received for operational assets
  • Assist with preparation of AM reporting for majority owned operational and construction assets
  • Assist with compliance reporting for majority owned operational and construction assets
  • Assist with snapshot reporting
  • Assist with quarterly DOE reporting
  • Assist with monthly IPPO reporting
  • Assist with quarterly and annual NERSA reporting
  • Prepare RPAs for all procurement
  • Monitor receipt of purchase orders
  • Assist with supplier reconciliations and interact with suppliers to obtain invoices, credit notes, and support
  • Assist with preparation of payment schedules
  • Assist with checking of payment schedules
  • Review revenue schedules
  • Assist with Eskom revenue invoicing
  • Assist with all required compliance requests and ad hoc requests
  • Attend required AM meetings and board meetings
  • Assist with due diligence support
  • Assist with filing and ad hoc administrative requests
  • Actively track all activities on Basecamp and assist with ad hoc requests
  • Assist with audit requests

Qualifications

  • Relevant BCom degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CIMA qualification would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and communication skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with others
